The Built to Last Egypt Retreat (“Retreat”) is hosted by Hypertunity, Incorporated dba Jessica Sato Consulting (“Host,” “we,” or “us”) and delivered in partnership with local Egyptian travel partners and service providers. By registering and submitting payment, you (“Participant” or “you”) acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”).
Our goal is to create an inspiring, safe, and seamless travel experience for all participants while maintaining transparency and fairness regarding payments, changes, and cancellations.
Your retreat investment covers:
Airport meet-and-greet and all ground transfers within Egypt
Lodging at carefully selected hotels, boutique venues, and a private dahabiya sailing boat
All meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner, and select cultural experiences)
Domestic flights within Egypt
Entry fees to all sacred and cultural sites listed in the itinerary
Private, English-speaking Egyptologist tour guides
Guided reflection sessions, cross-cultural exchanges, and group experiences
Tips and gratuities for local guides, drivers, and staff
Farewell celebration dinner
International flights to and from Egypt
Entry visa fees
Travel insurance (required; see below)
Meals or snacks not listed in the itinerary
Alcoholic beverages beyond standard inclusions
Laundry, phone calls, souvenirs, or personal items
Optional activities, spa treatments, or excursions beyond the published itinerary
Pre- or post-retreat nights and associated transportation
Small tips for hotel staff, bellmen, or restroom attendants
Any items or services not explicitly listed as included
Retreat Price: All prices are listed and payable in U.S. Dollars (USD).
Deposit: A non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking to reserve your space.
Balance Due: The remaining balance must be paid in full no later than 120 days (4 months) prior to the retreat start date.
Payment Plans: Payment plans are available upon request. All payment plan schedules must be adhered to in order to maintain your booking.
Failure to Pay: Failure to make payment by the due date may result in cancellation of your reservation and forfeiture of all payments made.
A non-refundable deposit of $1,500 USD per person is required to secure your place on the Built to Last Egypt Retreat. Your spot is not guaranteed until this deposit has been received and your registration is confirmed in writing.
All prices are listed in U.S. Dollars (USD).
The remaining balance is due 120 days prior to retreat arrival date. If full payment is not received by this date, your spot may be forfeited, and the cancellation terms below will apply.
Payment plans are available upon request and must be completed by the final payment deadline.
Because this retreat requires significant advance bookings with Egyptian partners, all cancellations must be submitted in writing via email to the Host.
The following fees apply to cancellations:
More than 180 days prior to retreat start: Deposit ($1,500) is non-refundable; all other payments made are refundable less a 5% administrative fee (to cover processing and transfer costs).
Between 180 and 91 days prior: 25% of the total retreat cost will be retained as a cancellation fee (plus the non-refundable deposit).
Between 90 and 61 days prior: 50% of the total retreat cost will be retained (plus the deposit).
Between 60 and 31 days prior: 75% of the total retreat cost will be retained (plus the deposit).
30 days or less prior to start date: 100% of all payments are non-refundable.
Note: Bank fees and currency transfer fees are the participant’s responsibility.
If you are unable to attend the retreat, you may transfer your registration to another qualified participant, subject to the following conditions:
The request must be made in writing at least 120 days before the retreat start date.
The new participant must complete their registration, sign all required agreements, and pay any outstanding balance by the original deadlines.
A $250 administrative transfer fee applies.
Transfers are valid only for the same retreat dates and may not be deferred to a future retreat.
Once the transfer is complete, all financial responsibility and communication will transfer to the new participant.
If no suitable replacement is found or the transfer request is made fewer than 120 days before the retreat, the standard cancellation policy applies.
In the unlikely event that the Host must cancel the retreat due to circumstances beyond control (including but not limited to political unrest, natural disaster, pandemic restrictions, or safety concerns), participants will have the option to:
Transfer their payment to a rescheduled or future retreat, or
Receive a refund minus any unrecoverable third-party costs already incurred (such as hotel deposits or internal flight bookings).
The Host is not responsible for non-refundable airfare, travel insurance premiums, or other costs incurred outside the retreat package.
To protect your investment, comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory for all participants.
Your policy must include coverage for:
Trip cancellation and interruption
Medical emergencies and evacuation (minimum $200,000 USD recommended)
Lost baggage or personal belongings
Proof of insurance must be provided before departure.
By registering for this retreat, you acknowledge that you are participating voluntarily and are responsible for your own health, safety, and well-being throughout the trip. You agree to:
Follow all local laws, customs, and guidelines shared by the Host and Egyptian partners.
Respect the culture, people, and environment of Egypt.
Participate in all scheduled activities at your own discretion, recognizing that travel involves inherent risks.
Inform the Host of any medical conditions, dietary needs, or accessibility requirements at the time of booking or immediately upon change.
The Host reserves the right to remove any participant from the retreat if their behavior is deemed unsafe, disruptive, disrespectful, or detrimental to the group’s experience. No refunds will be issued in such cases.
Participants must be in reasonably good health to travel. The retreat involves moderate walking, stairs, potential heat exposure, and occasional uneven terrain (such as temple grounds and riverbanks).
It is your responsibility to:
Consult your physician to confirm your fitness for travel.
Obtain all recommended vaccinations or medications prior to departure.
Bring and manage your own prescription medications.
If you have any pre-existing medical condition, mobility limitation, or dietary restriction, please communicate this when registering. We will make every effort to accommodate your needs within what is feasible in Egypt.
You are solely responsible for securing and maintaining:
A valid passport (minimum of six months validity from your return date).
A valid Egyptian entry visa (available upon arrival or online).
Any additional documents required for travel.
Failure to obtain required documentation or denial of entry by authorities does not qualify for a refund.
The Host shall not be held responsible or liable for any delay, cancellation, or alteration to the retreat due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to:
Acts of God, war, terrorism, pandemic, government restrictions, civil unrest, transportation delays, labor disputes, natural disasters, or extreme weather conditions.
In such cases, the Host will make every reasonable effort to reschedule or reallocate funds toward a future retreat, but cannot guarantee reimbursement of payments made to third-party suppliers.
We believe travel should be a force for good. Our Egyptian partners are committed to ethical tourism practices, including:
Reducing single-use plastic by providing refillable bottles and filtered water stations, where possible.
Using solar panels to minimize diesel use.
Hiring 100% local staff and partnering with locally owned businesses to ensure that tourism income supports Egyptian communities directly.
As a participant, you agree to travel respectfully, minimize environmental impact, and engage in ways that uplift local women, artisans, and entrepreneurs.
By participating in this retreat, you consent to being photographed or recorded by the Host or her representatives for promotional purposes, including website, social media, and marketing materials.
If you prefer not to be photographed, please notify the Host in writing before the retreat begins. The Host will make reasonable efforts to honor your request.
Hypertunity, Incorporated, dba Jessica Sato Consulting acts only as an organizer and facilitator of the retreat, contracting with independent local suppliers for lodging, transport, and excursions. While every effort is made to ensure a safe, high-quality experience, the Host:
Is not responsible for acts, errors, or omissions of third-party suppliers.
Is not liable for loss, injury, damage, delay, or expense due to illness, weather, strikes, political events, or any cause beyond its control.
Limits liability to the total amount paid by the participant for retreat registration.
Participants assume full responsibility for any injury, loss, or damage that may occur during the retreat and release the Host from all claims arising from participation.
By registering, you acknowledge that travel inherently involves risk and agree to assume all responsibility for any personal loss, illness, injury, or damage that may occur.
You further agree to maintain travel insurance that includes:
Emergency medical and evacuation coverage
Trip interruption or cancellation
Lost baggage or personal effects coverage
You will be required to provide proof of travel insurance prior to the retreat’s start.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, USA. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Colorado.
By submitting payment and completing registration, you acknowledge that:
You have read and fully understand these Terms and Conditions.
You voluntarily agree to abide by them.
You release Hypertunity, Incorporated, dba Jessica Sato Consulting from liability related to participation in the Built to Last Egypt Retreat.
