You’ve achieved so much… but something inside you is shifting.
You’ve built the business, served the clients, checked every box… and yet, something deeper is calling.
Maybe you’re realizing that success without full alignment no longer feels like real success.
Perhaps you’ve found your rhythm and now you’re ready for your work to ripple far beyond the next launch or season.
Or maybe, like so many women before you, you’ve felt a quiet, undeniable pull toward Egypt, a place that invites reflection, rebirth, and connection to something ancient and enduring.
This retreat was created for women like you: visionaries, leaders, and changemakers who are ready to root their work in clarity, connection, and purpose and build what’s meant to last.
This journey isn’t about sightseeing. It’s about answering a call you may already feel, a pull toward Egypt that whispers of remembering, renewal, and becoming.
Egypt has a way of reflecting you back to yourself.
In its temples and tombs, you’ll find more than history; you’ll find a mirror for your own leadership and legacy.
In the Nile’s flow and the desert’s stillness, you’ll find rest you didn’t know you needed.
In its lineage of powerful queens and goddesses, you’ll find resonance with the voice inside you that’s ready to rise.
This retreat will give you the space and support to:
Gain clarity about who you are and what you’re building in your life and business.
Step into alignment between your vision, your leadership, and your deeper knowing.
Reimagine your legacy, not as pressure but as possibility.
Rest and restore, finding new rhythms of energy and flow.
Connect with the global sisterhood, learning and leading alongside women from Egypt and beyond.
This retreat blends the sacred, the cultural, and the personal, weaving together unforgettable experiences with the space to rest, reflect, and reconnect.
Stand in awe at the Pyramids and Sphinx of Giza, reminders of what it means to build something that lasts.
Walk the sacred sites of Karnak, Hatshepsut’s Temple, Dendera, and Philae, places aligned with the divine feminine and carrying the energetic imprint of women who led with power and vision.
Gather in circles of reflection and sisterhood, sharing space with Egyptian women entrepreneurs who are reshaping what’s possible in their own communities.
Rest and play in ways that restore your whole self… a camel ride across the desert, a dance party along the Nile, kayaking, or tea at sunset as the world slows around you.
Immerse yourself in culture, from village cooperatives led by Egyptian women artisans to the warmth of a Nubian community on the banks of the river.
Stay in luxurious and culturally rich accommodations, from boutique hotels to a Nile cruise, each chosen for its beauty, resonance, and ability to hold you with care.
My Invitation To You
Hi, I’m Jess Sato, and this retreat was born from a deep place inside me, and it’s meant for the deep place inside you, too.
Egypt has been part of my story since I was 10 years old. Living there as a child, returning years later to study Arabic and political science, and most recently teaching workshops for Egyptian women entrepreneurs at the American University in Cairo shaped me into the woman I am today.
I saw firsthand what happens when women’s voices are silenced, and just as powerfully, what happens when women rise up, build businesses, and claim their place as leaders.
That’s why I’m bringing you here.
Egypt isn’t just about ancient temples and grand monuments, though we’ll stand in awe of those.
It’s about perspective.
It’s about asking yourself the same question this land asks me every time I return:
What are you building, and is it meant to last?
If you’re craving clarity and alignment, longing for rest in the middle of all the hustle, and ready to root your work in something enduring, Egypt is where it begins.
Egypt is more than a destination; it’s a mirror for what you’re building.
With its timeless temples, sacred energy, and the ever-flowing Nile, it invites you to slow down, reflect, and root yourself in what endures.
This retreat blends ancient wonder, cultural connection, and intentional rest, designed to restore your body, spark your vision, and connect you with a global sisterhood of women leaders. It’s a strategic pause to reimagine your business through the lens of legacy and align your big idea with lasting impact.
Over twelve days, we’ll journey from Cairo to Aswan, sail the Nile on a private dahabiya, explore Luxor’s temples, and return to Cairo to close our circle. Each stop is intentional — chosen for its beauty, history, and resonance with women’s leadership and legacy.
Begin in Cairo, where the hum of the city meets the echoes of history. Explore the Pyramids, wander through ancient mosques and markets, and connect with Egyptian women entrepreneurs shaping the future.
Fly south to Aswan, where Nubian warmth and river life invite you to slow down. Visit the Temple of Isis at Philae, share tea at the Old Cataract Hotel, and spend time with local women leading community-based enterprises.
Sail the Nile aboard our private dahabiya. Visit riverside temples, make bread with village women, and watch the sun set from the water. Between excursions, rest, reflect, and let the river remind you what flow feels like.
In Luxor, walk among temples built by queens and gods. Explore Hatshepsut’s Temple, the Valley of the Kings, Karnak, and Hathor’s Temple in Dendera, spaces that awaken feminine strength and vision. Optional sunrise balloon rides offer a new perspective, literally and figuratively.
Return to Cairo for final moments of reflection, shopping, and celebration. Our closing dinner honors the sisterhood and clarity you’ll carry forward from Egypt and into everything you build next.
This retreat is for the woman who’s built a successful, meaningful business, yet feels a deeper calling stirring.
You’re craving clarity, alignment, and time to step out of the grind, reconnect with your vision, and be surrounded by women who lead with both heart and purpose.
If this is you, you’ll feel right at home here.
A woman entrepreneur, thought leader, or changemaker who is ready for greater clarity, alignment, and expansion.
You want space to think strategically about your next chapter, how your big idea is evolving, and how to grow with purpose, not pressure.
You’re longing for deep sisterhood, reflection, and conversations that fuel your impact.
You’re open-hearted and globally minded, eager to learn alongside Egyptian women and contribute to a cross-cultural exchange.
You’re ready for both depth and delight — reflection circles alongside temple visits, rest alongside play, and the sacred alongside the spontaneous.
This experience isn’t for you if you’re seeking a purely luxury escape, prefer to stay surface-level, or aren’t open to slowing down, sharing, and engaging deeply with yourself and others.
This retreat is more than a trip. It’s an investment in yourself, your vision, and the business you’re building for the future.

COMFORT AND SAFETY
Yes. We partner with vetted local guides and operators who know the land, culture, and logistics inside and out.
Our group will travel together with private transport and secure transfers, so you’re never navigating alone.
Each hotel, venue, and experience has been chosen for its safety, hospitality, and cultural resonance.
Additionally, we closely monitor travel warnings and alerts through the U.S. State Department and validate with the UK, Canada, and Australia.
Not at all. Nearly everyone you’ll meet in hotels, restaurants, and cultural sites speaks English, and all of our guides and partners are fluent. You’ll be fully supported every step of the way.
And, as your retreat host, I speak Arabic and lived in Egypt for many years, so you’ll always have someone on hand who understands both the language and the cultural nuances. This allows our group to engage more meaningfully with the people and places we visit, while you relax and take it all in.
You should be comfortable walking moderate distances (3-5 miles or 7,000-10,000 steps per day at a gentle pace), climbing stairs, and being on your feet for site visits. We’ll build in plenty of time for rest and integration.
You’ll receive a full packing list. Think lightweight, modest clothing (shoulders and knees covered for temples), comfortable walking shoes, a scarf or shawl, and layers for cooler evenings.
You’re in for a treat. Egyptian cuisine is flavorful, fresh, and diverse — think warm flatbreads, grilled vegetables, lentils, falafel, hummus, couscous, rice, and slow-cooked stews. You’ll enjoy a beautiful mix of traditional Egyptian meals and carefully curated menus at our boutique hotels and on the dahabiya.
We’ve intentionally chosen venues that balance cultural authenticity with comfort and quality. All meals are prepared with fresh, local ingredients, and bottled or filtered water is always used for cooking and served at meals.
Expect food that’s nourishing, safe, and delicious.
TIME AND COMMITMENT
Stepping away is part of the transformation. This retreat gives you the perspective and clarity you can’t access in daily life.
Women consistently find that investing this time in themselves pays back tenfold in vision, energy, and alignment when they return.
Additionally, this retreat has been designed to ensure you fully experience Egypt, while also having time for rest, relaxation, and integration.
In the event you need to take a call or opt-out of an activity, you have the freedom to do so.
Absolutely. We can recommend trusted guides, hotels, and experiences if you’d like to explore more of Egypt before or after the retreat.
Great question! We will have a few group calls to get to know one another and do some ground work before we depart.
There will be time to talk about logistics, attire, and learn more about Egypt’s history and culture, so you when you arrive in country, you’re ready to soak it all in.
The full policy can be found here.
Deposits are non-refundable, and later cancellations may be partially refundable depending on timing. This is another reason travel insurance is strongly advised.
COMMUNITY AND CONNECTION
Most women come solo and leave with lifelong friendships. The intimacy of our group (maximum 10 participants) creates space for deep connection and sisterhood.
Prior to our departure, we will be meeting over zoom to build relationships, create trip agreements, and address any concerns you might have.
Women entrepreneurs, thought leaders, and changemakers from diverse backgrounds, all open-hearted, globally minded, and ready for depth.
The retreat balances group experiences with open space for rest and integration.
Some afternoons and evenings are free to relax, journal, or explore at your own pace.
Additionally, all accommodations are private, so you’ll have plenty of space to yourself.
That’s important to me, too. The Built to Last Egypt Retreat was designed with ethical, sustainable travel at its core — ensuring that our time in Egypt contributes positively to the people, culture, and environment that host us.
We partner with companies deeply committed to responsible tourism and aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). They understand how tourism can impact both communities and ecosystems and have taken tangible steps to ensure our journey supports local people and minimizes environmental impact.
Ethical, sustainable travel isn’t just a value — it’s how we ensure that what we build, together, is truly built to last.

Spaces for this retreat are intentionally limited because a small group ensures intimacy, depth, and connection. Once the spots are gone, they’re gone.
If you feel Egypt calling you… if you’re craving clarity, rest, and sisterhood… this is your invitation to step in.
