This is Part 3 of a 4-Part Series called Why Isn’t It Working? Read Part 1 and Part 2.

I’ve worn glasses for years. They’re basically part of my face and a fun fashion accessory.

But here’s what happens at least once a day: I’m staring at my screen, blinking, squinting, rubbing my eyes, wondering why everything looks so off

Is it the screen? The lighting? My brain?

And then it hits me:

The lenses are just… filthy.

A few sprays of cleaner and a quick wipe later?

Boom. Everything sharpens.

I didn’t need a new prescription or a new pair of glasses.

I just needed clearer lens.

This is exactly what happens in business.

Most of us are running at full speed with lenses that are smudged by old identities, mixed messages, or vague offers.

We keep trying to fix the symptoms, thinking things like maybe I need a rebrand, a better funnel, a new strategy… when really, we just need to clean the lens.

We need to get clear.

You’re Not Confused. You’re Just Cloudy.

After working with high-level, highly successful female entrepreneurs and executives for years, I know they don’t get stuck because they’re unskilled or unfocused.

They get stuck because they’re trying to grow and lead with smudged lenses.

In all candor, this was me in April last year. I had been doing a lot of TEDx speaker coaching. I loved the big idea components of it, but there were other parts that felt like drudgery. I kept spiraling in indecision.

Do I keep doing this? What would it look like to change it?

My brain was exploding with ideas, but I couldn’t find the throughline. And quite frankly, I didn’t want to get rid of the revenue.

Let me let you in on a little secret. I wasn’t really confused. And neither are you.

I just wanted an easy answer.

The Swirl Isn’t the Problem. It’s the Signal.

When your business starts to feel heavy, scattered, or like it’s just not clicking, the surface-level symptoms might look like:

  • “I don’t know what to say anymore.”

  • “I’m not sure who I’m serving, and even if I did, I can’t find them.”

  • “I keep reworking my offers, but nothing is clicking.”

  • “I keep showing up, but it feels like no one is listening.”

But those aren’t the real problem. They’re the byproducts of something deeper.

You’ve lost sight of your big idea - the bold, original, loud, and tenacious one that actually anchors your work. - and that helps you see the path you’re trying to take more clearly.

When you don’t have that clarity, it’s like trying to lead a business with cloudy glasses. Everything feels harder, messier, and less impactful.

Clarity Is the Catalyst

The moment you wipe your metaphorical lenses and get crystal clear on your big idea, everything sharpens.

Your offers align.

Your lead gen, marketing, and sales efforts work.

Your confidence returns.

Your voice comes back.

Your strategy simplifies

You go from swirling to certain. From diluted to distinct.

This is the heart of The Bold Rebuild™. It’s not about working harder; it’s about seeing clearly, so you can rebuild on purpose, with purpose.

If this resonates, make sure you download my new free guide, Why Isn’t This Working?

I’ll walk you through how to clean your lens, find your clarity, and finally see what’s been holding your business back.

Because you’re not confused. You’ve just been operating with smudged glasses.

Let’s fix that.
